I’m delighted to kick off a new era for The Slow Lens with a short film, An Sneachd (The Snow), made during the recent unusually heavy snowfall on the Isle of Lewis. After a fairly lengthy break while we sold our Norfolk home, applied to the Crofting Commission for tenancy, moved to the Hebrides and settled into our new community, we’re back with more outdoor and adventure content.
Follow our agroforestry activities on our croft webpage and watch this space for exciting developments for bikepackers, cycle tourists, walkers and kayakers (yes, we have a landing area on Loch Odhairn at the foot of the croft, accessible from the sea). We’ll be offering amazing wild camping experiences with basic facilities and food from our market garden, and a fully equipped cycle workshop. Accompanied adventuring on land and sea will follow and, in the longer term, we’re planning to renovate the blackhouse to bothy standard.
For now, welcome back and I hope you enjoy the film.
Thank you. I am very impressed by this and all the other work on your site that I’ve looked at so far. I really enjoyed the recipe pages. I’m inspired to do better with my efforts. Regards
Thanks a lot David, that’s very kind of you. I’m enjoying learning some filmmaking after previously almost exclusively producing stills. These islands are inspirational for both!
